Bookish Christmas Gifts

Ho ho ho!! It is almost Christmas which means most people are stressing out to find a gift for their loved ones. I thought let’s help you a bit to find the perfect gift for your bookish friend / girlfriend / boyfriend / family member or of course one for yourself! You don’t need an excuse for that, you always deserve a gift. I have made a list with themes where I’m sure you will recognize the person you are shopping for.

For the bookish beauty

Behind the Pages

Face masks, perfume, showergel, shower fizzies all literary inspired, based on your favourite characters. Face masks with the scents of their favourite book, imagine smelling like the Pemberley Gardens!, lipbalms like you just had Butterbeer or give them the experience of a shower fizzie to shower with their favourite book boyfriend/girlfriend (in my case Jamie Fraser ❀️) You can also get a 10% off your order with the code EYELOVE10

For the historical fiction fan

Magnetic Past

For those who like to get creative and colour or if they’re not creative and just want to have a bookmark or magnet of their favourite historical figure, Magnetic Past (@magnetic_past) has lots of them! From a Pride & Prejudice pack till Shakespeare, Mary Shelly, Charlotte Bronte but also figures like Vikings, 1890’s fashion, Steampunk and many more.

For the one who’s still looking for her Mr. Darcy

My Society6 Shop

HeaderThe design is available on all kinds of products, pillows, phone cases, t-shirts, tote bags etc.

The Harry Potter fan

Primark has been having a Harry Potter collection for a while now, if you know a HP fan then this is the time to shop! Me myself & I have already gotten this cute hedwig mug! 😍 which was gifted to me by my brother. But there are also pillows available, Dobby slippers, pyjama’s and so much more!

The fans that treat their books like Gollum treats his precious, the Ring

Booksleeves! A sleeve to protect your book so you can carry it anywhere you want, without getting damaged. Some fun booksleeve shops with gorgeous patterns and prints are Bibliophile Belle’s Boutique, Mrs. Baggins who also creates sleeping masks, Pages Remembered (Sadly closed for the December month) but I wanted to mention her shop since I love the patterns she uses and she also makes bookmark keepers. For the Dutchies who don’t want the high shipping costs there’s a Dutch new shop on Instagram called @aboutmybooksleeve and she also makes e-book sleeves.

For those who always lent out their books but never get them back

A book stamp, wooden pin, wooden bookmark or even a Christmas ornament (also bookish of course πŸ˜‰ ) by @helloworldpaperco , all fun gifts to gift to any booklover and they can also be personalized!

For the lazy (or highly engaged) reader

If you can read this.. socks

We can agree to disagree of course, but like me (I am the HIGHLY engaged reader) we would love to have tea, wine, coffee, beer while reading, but sometimes a book is just too good to get up. How great would it be then, to be able to give a hint to your boyfriend / husband / family / friends by just lifting your feet and magically receiving your drink.

We are at the end of the list! I hope you have found some new gift ideas, or at least some new favourite shops! Where do you always shop for bookish gifts?
